Jordan Run's stunning new single ‘Eloise’ lands on Wednesday, July 14th across all platforms.
Aaron O'Sullivan (AKA Jordan Run) has returned with gorgeous new offering 'Eloise', premiered below.
‘Eloise’ is an emotive song focused on themes of perseverance and loss, which is especially poignant given the world’s current chaos. The versatile West Cork man draws influence from the likes of Hozier and Ben Howard with a unique twist, showcasing a powerful songwriting gift and production prowess.
Recording the song in his own attic, Jordan Run tapped into raw emotion to create a track for anyone who has lost someone during the depths of Covid. With a background studying music production at CIT, the rising singer-songwriter impressively curates all of his own work from home.
"Last year, at the early stages of the pandemic, I decided that I would continue to work on my songwriting and production skills," the musician tells Hot Press of the premiere.
"'Eloise' was written about someone who had been struggling with their physical health for a very long time. I was following this person's story on Instagram for over 12 months, and going through some personal things myself, but the more I followed her journey, I became inspired by her strength, positivity and overall mindset to her struggles. This year has not been easy, but stay strong, we’re almost there."

"Stay strong like you always do, oh Eloise, oh Eloise," the breakout talent sings, with background harmonies and soft guitar strumming highlighting the impact of Ben Howard on the independent artist's work.
Jordan Run has been consistently rising through the ranks within the Irish scene over the last two years, with his March 2021 single ‘Twenty One’ playlisted for two consecutive weeks on the RTÉ ‘Radio One Recommends’ List. His final release of 2020, ‘Seventeen’ reached No. 1 in the iTunes hip-hop charts, and his Spotify currently has over 200k streams.
Blending styles from rock and blues into hip hop and soul, Jordan Run’s anthemic sound has developed hugely since releasing 10 singles and two EPs since 2019. The prolific act saw the lead single from his Lockdown Tapes EP, 'Deep', reach 100,000 plays on Spotify.
Within the world of live music, Jordan Run has shared the stage with the likes of Emma Langford, Eric Bell of Thin Lizzy, Bill Shanley, Sara Ryan, Lau Noah, Siomha and Pierre Bensusan as well as opening for Cory Wong, James Arthur and Ariel Posen.
Since the pandemic hit, Aaron O'Sullivan has performed on Co-Operation Ireland’s ‘X The Waves’, alongside RuthAnne and Alex Gough, followed up by a unique performance on the Hot Press Lockdown Sessions' Y&E Series. Just around the corner is a slot at The Last Broadcast - a live streamed event in Cyprus Avenue, Cork, which will be screened in venues around the city and beyond. An Irish tour is also in the works for early 2022, so stay tuned.
