Ireland's finest folk-soul songsmith does it again for his stunning new song 'Two Kids'.
The video for 'Two Kids', directed by Myles O'Reilly features two apparently kidnapped children - David Keenan and Laura Quirke - playing in the controlled environment of an abandoned, whitewashed warehouse.
The song, which builds to a heartrending climax, deals with themes of childhood innocence, abandonment and companionship.
As well as her acting skills, Laura Quirke's delicate backing vocals are the perfect complement to David Keenan's rasping tones.
Keenan gives these words as an accompaniment to the song:
Two Kids at play
Strangers yet Twins
Innocent yet Guilty
Looking for that Home
Robbed of their free will
Knowing right Well
Bound to one another
In the Belly of Boredom
Filling some void
Fixing some need
Putting their faith in the Temple of Song
Two Kids a play
But what is their purpose,
The question is asked
Do two Rights make two Wrongs ?
