PREMIERE: Emmet Scanlan & What The Good Thought release heartwarming music video for 'Every Given Day'

Emmet Scanlan & What The Good Thought  are billed to release his new single, 'Every Given Day' tomorrow, with the accompanying music video being premiered by Hot Press below.

The single is lifted from Scanlon's upcoming EP of the same name, out May 10.

A heartfelt tune dedicated to his daughter Annabelle, Emmet Scanlan's new song is a gorgeous strings track about the beauty of being a parent- moreover, a father .

The musician himself says "It is a song of love". He said: "The lead song, ‘Every Given Day’ is a poignant homage to my little girl, and the positive effect that children have on their parents, particularly on dads, a topic not often spoken about in Ireland let alone commemorated in song"

Commenting on the release Scanlan says: "I wrote the upcoming Every Given Day EP over the course of the last year. It’s a collection of songs of gratitude for life’s gifts and challenges".

The EP  was written between the artist's hometown of Newcastle West and Lahinch, Co. Clare. Every Given Day was recorded in a studio in the Italian Alps owned by my long-time recording collaborator, Raoul Terzi.

The video itself is an uplifting compilation of fathers with their children and makes for a beautiful accompaniment to the folksy single. 'Every Given Day' rounds out with a charming harmony from Annabelle, adding a heartwarming finish to the track.
