Former D’n’D and Low Profile frontman Paro Pablo has shared his brand new single alongside Slick Bullet, titled 'Obey' and premiered by Hot Press below.

'Obey' is an upbeat song about a relationship that didn’t go as planned but still holds a hint of chemistry. The single is completely left field for Paro Pablo, as his style of rap is usually based on hard-hitting lyricism. More up Slick Bullet's street; the Nigerian-born act likes to genre hop effortlessly. The song is produced by young Cork sensation Sesh Nolan, who has over six million views on his TikTok account for his beats.

Pablo (Dean Doonan) learned his trade in a time where Irish hip-hop flew far under the radar, enjoying moderate success while honing his craft. After a couple of tours, sold out shows and major support slots for Aslan, Hoodie Allen and Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, Paro Pablo decided to hang up the mic in 2014.


Writing was always an escape mechanism for Pablo, so 2019 would be the year he decided to return to the stage. By this time, the Irish rap and hip-hop scene had changed for the better. Irish rappers were now playing main stages at major festivals.

In June 2019, Pablo recorded a feature on Rem3dys track '4Life', which also featured fellow Finglas narrator Dubzeno. The track was an instant hit on national radio, with RTE 2fm playlisting the song.


In December of the same year, Doonan released his debut EP Never Known Love, which again was received well across national radio and led to a sold out launch night in The Grand Social. The Gospel Truth EP landed in 2020, followed by singles 'Ghost on Me' and 2021's 'Correspondence' and 'Footprints'.


In January 2020, Pablo dropped an 8 minute freestyle for 2FM's “freestyle series” with Dj Mo K, showcasing his undeniable ability to rhyme. The Dubliner remains held in high regard within the scene, often dubbed “your favourite rapper’s favourite rapper”.

Doonan is currently working on his debut album, which is due for release in 2022.

Slick Bullet, real name Samuel Edward, is a Nigerian-Irish, UK-based Afro Swing/Bashment/hip-hop rapper and singer-songwriter who creatively blends multiple genres.

Throughout his music career, Slick Bullet has opened for a lot of big international acts, with Giggs, Tinchy Stryda, Tyga and many more tapping him for his skills. His debut album Victories & Mishaps. charted No.1 on iTunes album charts within the first week of release in 2020.
