Following the release of 'Better' earlier this year, Galway-based rapper KY returns with a new bilingual single 'Foreign' – fusing French and English lyrics over an irresistible drill-influenced beat.
“I’m originally from the D.R. Congo," KY explains. "I was raised there and only moved to Ireland in 2015. At first I used to rap in French but once I moved to Ireland I thought why not continue with that same French style but bring it into English rap. Ever since then I have been trying to perfect that art of being able to mix French and English lyrics in a song.”
'Foreign' further establishes KY as one of the most captivating talents on the Irish scene – blurring the boundaries between hip-hop, trap, Afroswing and R&B.
