Baxter, Slee and North are back with their first single of 2019.
Happyalone., one of Hot Press's Hot for 2019 Irish Acts, today release a sizzling new track, 'L U C I F E R'. Towing the lines between rock, trap, and alt-pop, the song is the band's first release of 2019. They've been otherwise busy this year with headlines at Longitude and Knockanstockan, as well as appearances at festivals across Ireland and the UK, including Electric Picnic, Body & Soul, Forbidden Fruit, Indiependence, It Takes a Village, All Points East, and Latitude.
Known for their imaginative, nonconforming style, the band first rose to fame last year with their debut single, 'Colours'. Championed by Spotify, ‘Colours’ hit number one in the Viral 50 for Ireland playlist and solidified their spot in the music sphere.
The trio, comprised of Baxter, Slee, and North, finished off 2018 as one of Ireland's most promising acts. Now they've dropped their 7th single, ‘L U C I F E R’, to channel their signature post-genre aesthetic.
"The song reflects on inner conflict," explain the band. "It is both cathartic and profound, inviting the listener to be immersed in the moment and question ones relationship with oneself."
