Following the release of 'Rockstar', featuring Awesimon, J.F.O. is back with his highly anticipated new single, 'Amnesia'.
After a period spent living and recording music in Singapore with his friend, producer Marlon 'Danté' Ingle, J.F.O. – aka 18-year-old artist Jason O'Toole – is back in his native Ireland, with a string of acclaimed tracks under his belt. His new single, which draws from both contemporary emo trap and '90s punk, finds him exploring themes of mortality and the price of success.
“It’s a big thing in hip-hop. Death," J.F.O. explains. "So I’m trying to navigate that, seeing the complications.”
Following the release of his debut single, 'Come Over If You're Sober', in 2019, the Dublin artist has rapidly established himself as one of the most compellingly original emerging forces in Irish music – clocking up over 135,000 streams across Spotify and Soundcloud. With a unique, heartfelt approach to hip-hop, he's also received airplay from the likes of The Tom Dunne Show and Gemma Bradley on BBC Radio Ulster's Across The Line Introducing.
J.F.O’s sophomore mixtape, love the way u hurt me, is also on the way. It's set to be the first in a series of "moodtapes" – portraying key moments in the young artist's personal and professional life.
