Take a look at the new video from the hotly tipped Irish singer-songwriter below.
Following the release of his lauded new single 'Hopelessly True' last month, Kevin Neary is back with the track's highly anticipated music video – premiering below.
Produced by Michael Heffernan (known for his work with Dermot Kennedy, The Script, Gavin James, The Coronas, Gavin Friday and Swedish House Mafia), 'Hopelessly True' poignantly explores Kevin Neary's search for purpose – taking him to the River Liffey at 2am, where an encounter with a friendly swan reminds him of the beauty and value in life.
The story – inspired by a real-life experience – is further explored in the animated music video, which was scripted and storyboarded by Kevin. Over the space of four months, his vision was brought to life by a team of three young freelance animators – Brigid Purcell, Carla Lennon and Kristi O'Connor. This team – who have never met in person due to Covid-19 restrictions – overcame the challenges of lockdown to create a stunning final product.
Drawing influence from the likes of Dermot Kennedy, James Vincent McMorrow, The Coronas and Bon Iver, 'Hopelessly True' marks Kevin as a thrilling new force in Irish music.
