Hot Press is delighted to host the premiere for the Kerry singer-songwriter's new video.
When Lorraine Nash independently released her debut EP Wildflower in 2020, it saw her become one of the most-played female artists on Irish radio.
After a spellbinding live-streamed set at Cork Opera House in December led the Kerry singer-songwriter to sign with FIFA Records, she's now releasing her first track on the label, called 'Sing With Her’. The track is from her impending debut album, and was inspired by the #WhyNotHer movement and its revelations of gender inequality in the Irish music industry. "It’s a call for musicians to stand together to ensure the industry is a level playing field," says a statement.
The song itself has a delicate country twang to it, with Nash finger-picking over a tambourine and glittery keys. It may have been an unlikely time for the rising star to announce herself with the pandemic, but she has certainly found her niche with this latest offering.
