Micah draws influence from pop juggernauts like Halsey and Sia.
From Holycross, Co. Tipperary, young singer-songwriter Micah grew up in an extremely musical family. Her parents were in a choir, and Micah has always felt attached to music.
Singing with various bands and finding her voice throughout college, Micah has finally settled on a solo career that fits her personality. Hot Press is proud to premiere her latest track, 'Take Me Away'.
An effortlessly summery release from the singer-songwriter, 'Take Me Away' is "about falling in love with the right person at the wrong time," Micah explains of the story behind the tune. "Everyone around you has their input as to why it didn’t work, so you conceal your love and heartbreak. However, later on you two reconnect, or the stars align and fall back into that passionate embrace."
Taking influence from some of her favourite pop icons (Halsey and Sia among them), the song is complete with an upbeat melody, powerhouse vocals and an irresistible beat.
