Following the release of 'Hard To Tell You' earlier this year, modernlove. are back with a new single, 'If You Wanna See Me'. The track, which was was written, recorded and produced in individual parts from the band members' bedrooms during lockdown, finds the indie-pop four-piece taking their sound into thrilling new territories – pulling electronic inspiration from the likes of Björk, Imogen Heap and James Blake.
"'If You Wanna See Me' is a story about two people admitting their relationship has run it's course and longer makes sense anymore," modernlove. reveal in a statement about the release, "While acknowledging that it will still hurt to see one another around afterwards."
Tipped as one of the Hot Press 'Hot for 2019' acts, modernlove. have enjoyed a landmark 12 months – scoring support slots for Matt Helders of Arctic Monkeys' new band Good Cop Bad Cop, Larkins and Judah and The Lion, as well as a sold-out headliner in The Sound House, Dublin earlier this year.
'If You Wanna See Me' cements modernlove.'s reputation as one of the most captivatingly inventive Irish indie-pop acts of recent memory.
