Irish-Nigerian artist OG The Story, best known as one of the founding members of Dublin hip-hop and Afrobeat collective Millaz, is back – with a powerful new solo EP, Evolution By Any Means.
Raised in Lagos and based in Dublin, OG The Story, aka Olusegun Gbadebo, initially rose to prominence in the Irish scene a decade ago with Millaz – who amassed a cult following across the country.
After deciding to take a step back from the music scene, OG The Story pursued new life experiences that took him across the world, to the Middle East and Africa. Now he's back in Dublin with a renewed passion, a sharper edge and a bold new seven-track EP.
Drawing influence from Rakim and the Notorious BIG, as well as Bob Marley and Fela Kuti, his new project speaks directly to our current times – exploring themes of heritage, identity, diversity and self-love.

"This project is about self-expression and striving to be the best version of myself, which has led me to explore key themes including identity, consciousness, and self-love," he says. "This EP is telling the story of my journey to achieve my highest potential, while delving into a variety of life experiences with the insights and lessons gained from them. The relationship between the individual and community is also touched on in parallel to the key themes of the project, with the hope to inspire others to be their best selves."
