The collaborative hip-house track is closing out the summer in style.
Waterford rapper Pat Lagoon has joined forces with Evan Miles to share a brand new single, 'Let Loose'. Flying the flag for the Sunny South East, the rising stars' collaborative track received a preview spin from Dan Hegarty on RTE 2FM earlier this week, and is now available to stream.
Paying homage to Waterford summers, 'Let Loose' marks a new direction in Lagoon's style, with added house elements courtesy of electronic artist Evan Miles.
"I tried to find a nice balance between my sound and Pat's," Miles reveals in a statement about the release. "I heard 'Rack$$$' a couple of years ago and thought it was a tune straight away. Since then i've been onto Pat about doing another house-y track - fortunately I was able to help with this."
Since first making his mark on the Irish music scene in June 2018, Lagoon has seen his profile rise with a number of acclaimed releases and live performances. Last November, he teamed up with Coolock rapper RikShaw to share the collaborative Recess EP. One of the tracks, 'Shining' was featured on Anthony Fantano's hugely popular YouTube channel. Lagoon has kept himself busy since then with a major support slot for Token at The Academy in Dublin, collaborations with Ghost King Is Dead and RikShaw, and upcoming releases with the likes of Awkward Z, ØMEGA and BoyW1DR.

Miles, a founding member of the arts and music collective Anomaly, has also had a busy few months, clocking up performances in venues across the country, as well as at sets at Konnect Festival. A genre-defying artist, the Waterford native's work has ranged from hip-house collaborations with Lagoon to acid house remixes of Ghost King Is Dead tracks.
