Following the release of his highly anticipated new single 'Beacon Call' on Friday, May 22, Pauric O'Meara is back with the official music video – created with friends and family around the world during lockdown.
'Beacon Call' is the third and final track from his new EP, Looking Forward To Hindsight. Addressing themes like time, memory and the blessing of hindsight, the reflective EP sees O'Meara exploring the process of a break-up – from the initial cracks, to accepting a new future. Following the devastation of a deteriorating relationship on 'Is This Real', and beginning the slow road to healing on 'Wasting Time', the new single devleops this journey by stressing the importance of your learning to lean on friends, family and your inner-self.
"'Beacon Call' is a very fitting end to the story told through this EP," Pauric says of the release. "It's energetic from the get go. I feel as though it will give the listener a real lift of euphoria, which is exactly what I wanted to achieve."
Combining raw vocal power and introspective lyricism, Pauric has established himself as one of the country's most thrilling rising stars – playing two headline shows at Dublin's The Soundhouse and Workman's Club in 2019; scoring support slots for the likes Hermitage Green and Hudson Taylor; making his Electric Picnic debut last year; and clocking up over 150,000 streams on Spotify alone for his previous releases.
