Wicklow ‘sparklecore’ artist Ailsha has shared a the visualiser for her upcoming alt-metal banger ‘Haunted’ - set to drop on Friday, May 31.
The release marks the singer’s first since her previous hit ‘Go Tobann’ came runner up in Ireland’s Eursosong National Final for Eurovision 2024.
With a background in crafting video game soundtracks, Ailsha is well-versed in the art of making explosive tunes, blending weighty, chugging riffs, double kicks, chilling screams and Y2k-inspired synths to create her distinct ‘Gaeilgoth’ sound and aesthetic.

'Haunted' follows in a similar vein to her last release, with Ailsha making use of the Irish language by screaming 'díbrim thú' (translating to ‘I banish you’) during the song's gruelling breakdown.
“’Haunted' is a journey through the emotions of realizing someone you deeply trusted was actually sucking the life out of you,” she says. “It's like waking up in this twisted vampire movie where they've been sucking your energy all along, and they took your empathy to bury in their never-ending cemetery of lies. The song is about breaking free and reclaiming your worth.”
There’s also some live shows for fans to look forward to, as Ailsha takes to stages in Galway, Glasgow, Brighton, Donegal and Dublin, later this year, with more to be announced. For more information on tickets and dates, as well as to to pre-save 'Haunted', click here.
