Following the release of her 'Coffee Hill Sessions' with Shane Steven earlier this year, Rowlette is back with an irresistible new single, 'Cucumber & Ice' – an ode to female friendship penned with Rob Shiels and Graham McCartin.
"I was with Graham and Rob in the studio and we were writing a very serious/sad song when we decided to just switch it up," the Mayo artist says of the release. "Graham started messing with a riff on guitar and I had the Cucumber and Ice idea in my notepad and we went from there. It was a lot of fun writing it.
“As we all know, things have been pretty heavy this year, and I don’t know how I would have gotten through it without my friends," she adds. "While we can’t go dancing just yet, and I don't play golf, I wanted to release a fun song that showed my appreciation for my friends.”
Her previous singles have landed her coveted spots on Spotify editorial playlists, including Fresh Pop, Pop Right Now and New Music Friday. 'Cucumber & Ice' further establishes Rowlette as one of the most promising emerging indie-pop talents on these shores.
