Following the release of their brilliant debut single, 'The Killer', back in November, Scustin are back with the eagerly anticipated follow-up, 'Sick Of Making Love To You'.
The new release comes in the wake of a string of lauded live outings – firmly establishing the Bray band as a serious force on the homegrown scene.
'Sick Of Making Love To You' showcases a new side to Scustin's artistry, opting for a laidback groove over the wild hijinks of 'The Killer', and drawing inspiration from the likes of Mild High Club and Homeshake. Once again, immersive storytelling is at the centre of the band's approach – as their mononymous frontman Larry explores "the sexualization of the media and output of adult content in general by personifying it as a lover who 'makes you think romance is dead'."
"Scustin was born out of the members of a band called *ROGUE!, and a want to be more ambitious with our songwriting, performing and creative output," Larry recently told Hot Press. "And, perhaps, to push a few boundaries. I see Scustin as a universe more than a traditional artist or band."
'Sick Of Making Love To You' will be officially released on streaming platforms tomorrow, May 13. Coinciding with the release, Scustin are headlining Midnight Hour in Whelan's, Dublin tomorrow.
