Following the release of her acclaimed 'Oh Mother' last year, SIVE returns with a moving new single, 'Storybook Moon', featuring strings by Dowry, aka Éna Brennan.
The nostalgic alt-folk track secures SIVE's status as one of the most compelling singer-songwriters in Ireland – showcasing the Dublin multi-instrumentalist's vivid lyricism and stunning vocal delivery.
"'Storybook Moon' was written during a time when I was struggling to sleep," SIVE says of the track."One night I went for a walk and as I passed under some trees, I glimpsed the moon peeking through the branches. It was completely perfect in that moment – like the cover of a picture book I had as a child. In a way, the song is about how little moments of beauty are available even in trying times."
Over the course of her career, SIVE she has shared stages with the likes of Lisa Hannigan, Cathy Davey, Mick Flannery and Christy Moore – before joining forces with artist-led collective Veta in 2018, and exploring thrilling new directions in her sound with co-producer Matt Harris.
