Watch the verdant visual accompaniment to Some One's Sons' emotional new single about the ever-relevant tale of leaving home and parting with loved ones.
Mullingar trad folk outfit Some One's Sons have released the video to their latest single 'The Banshee Wall'.
Helmed by Sunbleach media, the film sees the lads - Daniel Allen, Greg Dunne, Ray Purcell and Ger Dunne - roaming mossy woodlands with a guitar, an acoustic bass and bouzouki in hand.
It's a scintillating compliment to the lush soundscape underscoring 'The Banshee Wall,' rife with soaring vocals, propulsive trad airs and emotive lyricism. The ballad delves into themes of emigration and yearning, telling the story of the conflicting emotions felt when a loved one leaves. As the singer bids goodbye, they wish the best for their departing friend, while battling a profound sense of loss and longing for their return.

“Growing up, we were surrounded by stories of haunted houses, banshees, and witches," Daniel Allen, the band's singer-songwriter says. "The title is a nod to that. I’ll meet you back where it all began, when we were just kids listening to ghost stories".
