Emerging Irish pop sensation Sophie Doyle Ryder set to release the first track 'Hunni Hunni' from her debut EP - premiered below by Hot Press.
The 19-year-old singer-songwriter from Dublin has drawn comparisons to Rihanna, Ariana Grande and Anne Marie in her time as a performer for her fun-loving personality and rich vocals. Ryder gave an impressive performance last year on the Hot Press Lockdown Sessions' Y&E Series.
Ryder's passion for writing bright, infectious and relatable pop songs shines clear as day on party anthem 'Hunni Hunni', with an effortlessly catchy chorus and anthemic dance beat.
“I’m beyond excited for the world to forget their troubles and dance along to 'Hunni Hunni', Sophie tells Hot Press of the single. "I hope it brings people as much joy as it brought me to sing and write.”
Influenced by the likes of Ariana Grande, Benee, Griff and Dua Lipa; their authenticity is what inspires Sophie’s performance style and songwriting talent, using music as a form of therapy.

Along with writing and recording her EP, Sophie has announced her signing to Paradigm Agency, home to Billie Eilish and Take That. A major 2021 is on the cards, not to mention a tour in the works next year after her debut headline gig in Whelan's Dublin on October 30th.
Debut EP Beginner’s Luck is full of chart- worthy hits, depicting a new chapter in Ryder's life. The project gives a full 360 view on relationship situations for the young artist, acting as a timeline of summer 2021 for Sophie. The EP also acts as an expression of the transition period in the pop singer's life as she finishes secondary. school and prepares for her exciting future.
Ryder's previous releases have earned over 13 million Irish radio impacts in 2020 and have peaked at No.3 in the Irish Breakers Chart. In addition to International Spotify playlist placements, the budding singer-songwriter has received airplay in the UK, USA and Australia. 2019 and 2020 releases include 'Mood', 'Enough', 'Too Much' and 'Little Black Book'.
