Get an exclusive first look at the new video from Tanoki below.
Following the release of 'Loading', featuring Farah Elle, last week, Tanoki is back with the highly anticipated music video for the track – premiering below.
Having previously collaborated on videos with the likes of Linkin Park and Walking On Cars, the Kilkenny-based visual artist, aka Paul Mahon, is stepping into the spotlight as a producer with 'Loading'. Recorded and produced at his home studio in Kilkenny, 'Loading' is a captivating blur of jazz, trip-hop and experimental electro elements, and is the first single from Tanoki's upcoming debut album, File New.
“The song is a commentary on what we’re doing with technology and how it’s intersecting with our lives," he says of the track. "As we lose what makes us human in exchange for the robotic, I want listeners to imagine the kind of lyrics that might come from an android, the cyborgs we’re becoming.
“So much of music is now tech-based, from how we interact with our collaborators to the sounds itself, music is now zeros and ones, it isn't tangibly real," he continues. "I’m not saying it in a bad way, it’s just a reflection of where we’re at.”

The new music video was shot and edited by Tanoki – and features animation, creative cuts and hypnotic visuals, with Stafford and Turlough Kelly dancing through the darkened streets of Kilkenny.
