Watch the video for the promising Derry band's second single below.
Frontman Jack Doherty takes centre stage in the new music video for ‘Wish It All Away’, the second single from upcoming Derry rockers TeleZura.
The clip depicts the lead singer coming into his own. Despite his evident confidence, he shows moments of fragility in the video – looking into the distance only to glance back to the camera for guidance and assurance.
The video also presents an undeniably-Derry band. Whether it’s on the city walls, at their rehearsal space, or by the Peace Bridge, it’s clear that TeleZura are four lads who love their hometown.

Sonically, ‘Wish It All Away’ reveals an underlying vulnerability. A set of wonderfully refreshing musicians, the band appear to be fearing nothing and everything all at once - there’s an innocence about this quartet that you can’t help but love.
An apprentice electrician and once a promising schoolboy footballer, Doherty never played an instrument or sang a note until the world went into lockdown. A guitar had sat in his bedroom for 12 years, unutilised. In March 2020, the bored teenager started strumming and soon after, a flame was lit.
Meanwhile, songwriter Adam Robinson was looking for a voice for his tunes, including ‘Wish It All Away’. He met Doherty at a health and safety workshop for trainee electricians, where conversation quickly turned from safe voltage levels to favourite bands. It wasn’t long before two became four, and the group’s first-time recording resulted in the acclaimed debut single ‘Heartfelt Summer’.
TeleZura will be playing an exclusive set for the Hot Press Y&E Series on Wednesday 8 November, live via the Hot Press Instagram.
