Take a look at the new video from the Co. Cavan artist below.
Ahead of the release of The Yellowhead Project's highly anticipated debut album Master The Monster this Friday, we're thrilled to present the new video for one of the project's stand-out tracks, 'Strange World'.
The Yellowhead Project – aka Co. Cavan artist Philip Gargan – continues to expand his musical horizons on Master The Monster. The seeds for the project were first planted in the years following the break-up of his first band Reel, who had been signed to Universal. Although Gargan's solo project began life as a studio experiment in soundscape creation, it soon evolved into a unique new musical direction.
“These songs helped me to move forward, both musically and as a person” Gargan – who is a practicing psychotherapist – says. “They gave me the space I needed to be truly authentic. It’s more a felt sense than anything I can fully explain, but making this album became one of the most important things that I’ve ever done for myself.”
'Strange World' and all of the other songs on Master The Monster were produced by Gargan's long-time collaborator and musical mentor Peter Eades (producer of Finbar Furey, Clannad, John Sheehan, Thin Lizzy and more).
