Listen to the new track from Belfast's The Zang below.
Ahead of the release of their debut album on October 2, The Zang have shared a powerful new single, 'Football Sundays'.
"'Football Sundays' is about loving football, especially as a kid," The Zang reveal in a statement about the release. "We used to play from morning to night – almost every day of the summer, in school, after school, weekends, wintertime... Weather permitting? We didn't care.
"You do see an ugly side to football too though." they continue. "Sectarianism, racism, homophobia, sexism. You can turn on the news and you're never too far away from racism and violence in sport. We wanted this song to bring people together rather than create divides... Whether we're from different communities, backgrounds, nationalities, when it comes down to it it's all about the right attitude and a simple love for the game."
'Football Sundays' finds the Belfast band, fronted by Chris Molloy, showcasing the timeless sound that has marked them as one of the most compelling pop-rock acts in the country.
