It's from his new album, Luminous, which follows in March
Hot Press is delighted to provide you with this first look at the video for Eric Eckhart’s cracking new single, ‘The Radio’.
"It’s one of the purest songs I've ever written,” he says. “It came pouring out in one go while in the studio and what you hear on the recording is my voice and guitar together on one track the very first time I ever played it all the way through. The intimacy and joy of that moment of creative realisation is what makes this song so special for me".
The honorary Irishman – Eric is from Virginia but lived in Dublin for a number of years before relocating again to Berlin – plays nearly all of the instruments on it and its parent album, Luminous, which was recorded in a former World War II bunker and drops on March 14.
“The songs were written in the time between the home birth of my second child and the death of my parents not long after and reflect the extremes of life and death, darkness and light and the polarised world we all live in today,” he further reflects.
