'Ghostlight' is a wistful and foreboding song, where ambient strings and faraway vocals merge to build a dreamlike atmosphere.

"On and on, dissolve into the dark / Hide among the dead, I go," sings We Are Aerials over hazy visuals of a darkened statue garden.
We Are Aerials attributes 'Ghostlight's haunting ambience to the guitar it was written on, an old Fender Telecaster found in the artist's attic.
"I don’t know if it’s a sentimental thing, or because I spent time and money on it, but this guitar has mojo," We Are Aerials states. "It started giving me songs almost the moment it was fixed. First Echo, then Theft, then Empire. Six months later, we have a new album. Attics are weird. And magical. And sometimes haunted."
