Following the release of their acclaimed second album, Ailm, earlier this year, Donegal duo Blackbird & Crow have returned – with the release of the music video for their latest single from the album, 'Blackbird'.

Garnering major overseas attention, Ailm rose rapidly through the European charts. Originally discovered by Clannad legend Moya Brennan, the duo of Maighread Ní Ghrásta and Stephen Doohan are signed to German label MIG Music.

The follow-up to their 2017 debut Shock Shatter Convince, Ailm was produced by Tommy McLaughlin, lauded for his work with Villagers, SOAK and Lisa O’Neill, and mastered by Brian Masterson, whose fingerprints can be found on records by The Chieftains, Van Morrison and Elvis Costello.

Like many other Irish artists, Blackbird & Crow have been heavily impacted by gig cancellations amid the Covid-19 pandemic. As an alternative for their fans, Blackbird & Crow gave a concert from their rehearsal room 'The Bunker' on March 22 on Youtube and Facebook – with hundreds of people from across the world logging on and commenting on the live stream.

Tomorrow, April 3, they release 'Blackbird' - the latest single release from Ailm.
