The Beautiful Ones is set to be released October 29.
Prince's unfinished memoir, The Beautiful Ones, is set to be published this October by Random House.
The international pop superstar initially announced the memoir at an intimate concert in Manhattan in March 2016, telling the crowd "we're starting right at the beginning – my first memory – and hopefully we can move all the way to the Super Bowl... you all still read books, right?" In April 2016, the singer died of an accidental opioid overdose.
In a statement about the memoir, Random House characterized it as "the deeply personal account of how Prince Rogers Nelson became the Prince we know: The real-time story of a kid absorbing the world around him and creating a persona, an artistic vision, and a life, before the hits and the fame that would come to define him."

The Beautiful Ones will include the singer's reflections on his own life, an introduction by New Yorker writer Dan Piepenbring, handwritten lyrics – featuring Prince's original treatment of Purple Rain – and never-before-seen personal photos.
"His death was an unfathomable loss, but this book — full of writing from his own hand and images that he carefully preserved at Paisley Park — is a beautiful tribute to his life," said editor Chris Jackson in a statement.
