The announcement comes alongside the release of a new single, 'Vacation'.
Fast-rising artist Priya Ragu has announced her highly anticipated debut album, SANTHOSAM, which means 'happiness' in her native Tamil. She also released a new track, 'Vacation', the album's first single.
The single channels a sunny, relaxing soundscape complete with an intricate melody and enchanting harmonies, its lyrics exploring the dangers of burnout and overwhelming expectations.
"That song came about while we were touring and writing at the same time," she said of 'Vacation'. "We just reached a limit. We were exhausted from all of the travelling, creating and never really being home, so we booked a flight to India.
"That song is a reminder of how important it is to give yourself a break, to step back, let loose and allow yourself to recharge your batteries.”

Priya Ragu found a massive audience with her 2021 debut mixtape damnshestamil, made in close collaboration with her brother Japhna Gold. The release put her on the map, and she collected a BBC Sound Poll nomination, breaking artist accolades across music streaming services and a show-stealing TV debut on 'Later... with Jools Holland'. She has played shows across Europe and beyond, including a rousing performance at Electric Picnic last year.
Raised with her brother in Switzerland after her parents fled the Sri Lankan Civil War, she cites her Tamil roots as a huge influence on her wavy, R&B-infused sound. SANTHOSAM was born from her "quest for self-discovery," and expands and elevates her sound beyond that of her debut mixtape.
"The album is my story of finding happiness," she explained. "It helped me find my purpose in life. Maybe it will help others, too.”
