The reinvented track is named 'After Kadira' and teems with a pulsating electronic current throughout.
Producer Ross Tones of Throwing Snow has released an inventive remix of Echotal's recent release 'Kadira'.
'Kadira' was inspired by the traditional Persian whirling dance practiced by renowned Iranian dancer Khatoon Fallah, and was accompanied by a stirring music video featuring the dancer herself.
Throwing Snow's Ross Tones said of 'Kadira' that: After seeing Khatoon Fallah’s mesmerising dance in the original Kadira video, I wanted to really push the dance element of the Echotal track to breaking point.
"Once the track was ripped apart it seemed to naturally gravitate back towards the original for the final section, but with a twist…"

Speaking on how the collaboration came about artist and musician David Rooney of Echotal said: "I met Ross online during the Big Pause. His band Snow Ghosts (with Hannah Cartwright aka Augustus Ghost) got in touch about an album cover for their 2019 release A Quiet Ritual.
"They had seen a repeat of the BBC series The Story of Ireland and were taken with one of the many massacre scenes. It seemed to fit the vibe of what they were creating. Following this I became an avid listener to both Snow Ghosts and Throwing Snow".
According to Rooney this kicked off a fruitful creative relationship, with Echotal drawing influence from producer Ross Tones' work.
"When working on Echotal material in the studio with Torsten Kinsella we often referenced and listened to the sounds Ross creates… kinda electronic-organic and richly textured with wonderful space and great hooks".
Reflecting, Rooney states: "As with everything Ross does I knew ‘Kadira’ was going to be more than just a remix. It is utterly reimagined with an echo at the close of the whirling Khatoon Fallah dance that inspired the track in the first place. ‘After Kadira’ seems like a more fitting new title for the work.”
