The mighty Pugwash are going the Kickstarter route to fund their seventh studio album.
“A brand spanking new Pugwash record is about to be unleashed and my dear and wonderful loyal fans of almost 20 years will help make it happen,” says Pug-in-chief Thomas Walsh. “It's such a nervous time for any artist when making a shellac but feeling the warmth and support of the people you make the music for really helps ease any worries or fears so get pledging and sharing and telling the world that some new whistly tunes are a' comin' and they should hop on board. Word of mouth and fingers my good people. Thank you. I love each and every one of your bloody bones.”
The Dublin pristine pop merchants need €25,000 to be able to bankroll three weeks in an LA studio in April and then master the results in Abbey Road. Incentives include Skype chats, having a song personally written for you and the acoustic guitar that Thomas wrote all the new Pugwash tunes on.
