Quarter Block Party has announced its full line-up for 2020. Returning for its sixth edition with some of the most exciting names in Irish music, the festival takes places in venues across Cork City from Thursday, February 6 to Sunday, February 9.
Quarter Block Party will sprawl through the city’s streets and venues with over 50 music, art, and theatre performances. Across the weekend, you can expect pop-up shows, public art events, and creative discussion in the shops, venues, and outdoor spaces, and opportunities to discover a diverse selection of Irish and international artists.
Kicking off the music events on Friday in An Spailpín Fánach is Gyda Valtysdottir, who co-founded the experimental pop group múm in the '90s. Other highlights include John Francis Flynn, Myles Manley, God Alone, Post Punk Podge & The Technohippies, Maija Sofia, Sister Ghost, Lemoncello and more.
This year, Quarter Block Party is also introducing its first weekend-long free music trail, in addition to its bumper ticketed programme. The music trail, crossing bars and venues from Barrack Street to North Main Street, features Rachel Lavelle, VARO, Trá Pháidín, Rodney, Rowan, Cian Nugent, Daisies, His Fathers Voice and more.
