Adam Lambert is the rightful Freddie Mercury successor
Adam Lambert had no small shoes to fill when he became the new frontman of Queen in 2014, taking Freddie Mercury's place. Since then, the singer and the legendary rock band received critical acclaim for their live performances. Some fans seemingly still don't accept the new Queen singer, however, as Brian May defends Adam Lambert on Instagram.
The guitarist took to Social Media to praise his colleague, stating: "ADAM LAMBERT is only now beginning to be recognised by the greater public as the true phenomenon that he is. Gifted with a voice in a billion, for himself he is a passionate and unyielding perfectionist. Gifted to us, he is the reason that we are still alive as a functioning rock band. And still able to take on new challenges. Plus ... he's nice. That's a big deal when you are a touring family."

He claims that without Adam Lambert, "Queen would not be out here delivering at the top level" and that "Freddie would approve, big time".
As for the people who suggested they should tour with a Freddie Mercury impersonator, Brian May has this to say: "Just imagine how awful it would have been for Roger and myself to tour with a Freddie impersonator. Anyone who suggests such a thing doesn't belong here".
Adam Lambert's response under the post is plain and simple: "Awwwww", he writes.
