All in aid of a very good cause this Friday...
The decibel levels at The Sugar Club will be tested this Friday November 11 when Movember Presents: Turn It Up To 11 takes off, all for charity!
Inspired by all-time classic 'rockumentary' This Is Spinal Tap, Turn It Up To 11 promises to live up to its title with the help of some guest vocalists from Ham Sandwich, Dead Cat Bounce, Dirty Epics and The Belle Blues, all of whom will belt out some classic anthems from the likes of Led Zeppelin, Thin Lizzy, Queen and many more.
And there's more. Taking to the stage on the evening will be the formidable duo of Radio Nova's Marty Miller and Pat Courtenay. It promises to be an electric night and all proceeds will go to the Irish Cancer Society. It's a cause that's very close to Miller's heart.
"Over the last 2 years, my family and extended family have been invaded by cancer," he said. "So this year, to try help out I'm renting out space on my face to raise a few quid. The result is growing on my upper lip!

"The house band on the night are The Harleys and they've asked NOVA to get involved. Gary from the band heard me talk on the radio about how I'd taken up drumming this year. Pat Courtenay from NOVA Breakfast already thinks he's Keith Richards and can play guitar pretty decently, so on Friday we'll take to the stage, performing AC/DC's 'Highway To Hell'! It's only 10 quid in, all for the Movember charity fundraiser and a good time will be had!"
