The American musicians will perform in Dublin in March and September 2022.
American singer-songwriters Randy Newman and Garth Brooks both have plans to perform in Dublin next year.
Newman, who has composed soundtracks for films like Disney Pixar's Toy Story and released studio albums like 2017's Dark Matter, recently announced a series of tour dates for his international tour, An Evening With Randy Newman. He is set to perform at Dublin's Vicar Street on March 15, 2022.
Tickets for Newman's show will be available Friday, September 17 at 9am here.
Garth Brooks is also reportedly planning gigs for Dublin in 2022. Virgin Media News reported that the country singer is in the processing of finalising negotiations with Croke Park for September 2022 shows.
In 2014, Brooks was forced to cancel his shows at Croke Park due to a licensing conflict. The shows were meant to be his comeback after briefly retiring in 2001, but the Dublin City Council only granted licenses for three of the five planned performances. Brooks was committed to playing all five shows or no shows at all.

Despite reports, promoters and Croke Park have not yet confirmed Brooks' performances.
The booking of international acts like Newman and Brooks, however, begs a much larger question about the future of the music industry in Ireland. International musicians have long performed in Irish venues, but with the effects of the pandemic, it's crucial that Irish artists are given a supportive boost as well.
“There should no difficult whatsoever with three Garth Brooks gigs,” one live music industry insider told Hot Press. “The wider question of how many gigs Croke Park should accommodate next year is a different issue. In the context of what the Irish live music industry has been through over the past 18 months, it would seem churlish of locals to try to impose the three-gig limit, but we’ll see. There’ll certainly be lots of artists who want to play Croke Park."
