The South Central artist and designer will play The Academy on January 20th next year.
Los Angeles rapper Duckwrth will play Dublin’s Academy on January 20th, 2022 as part of his SuperGood tour.
The songwriter, whose real name is Jared Lee, will bring his “electrifying live performance” and “honest, in your face, genre-defying music” to the Academy stage. Tickets are available for €25 via Ticketmaster this Friday at 10am.
Duckwrth’s tour will promote his 2020 record Supergood. The prolific recording artist dropped an EP called SG8* last Friday (September 3) featuring two singles - ‘4K’ and ‘Make U Go’. He also shared the stand-alone single ‘Birthday Suit’ and collaborated on TeaMarr’s track ‘Specific’ earlier this year.
“I am most excited for fans to hear the growth in the music and songwriting and of course, to hear it and have fun with it,” Duckwrth told The Knockturnal when talking aboutSG8*.
The American songwriter said he was "battling with writer’s block for a second and how to make music that connects while also being introspective and I got stuck.

“I connected with this really dope producer named WaveIQ through sessions I did at the Insecure writing camp and from the first song it was just right. I brought a few friends along for the ride and it was on from there,” he added.
2021 has seen Duckwrth flourish with support slots on Billie Eilish’s Happier Than Ever tour and his appearance on the Space Jam: A New Legacy soundtrack alongside Cordae on ‘Settle The Score’.
