The A$AP Mob associate was only 25
The shock breaking news from Philadelphia is that rapper and model Chynna Rogers has passed away at home, aged 25.
The only comment so far from her family is: "Chynna was deeply loved and will be sorely missed."
Among those paying tribute are fellow hip hopper Kehlani who says: "How lucky we were to have you. We will never forget, I promise. Chynna, you were fucking hilarious bro. Today was our last exchange of jokes and those I will miss the most. I love you so very much. My heart is officially iced."
She went on the books at the Ford Models agency when she was just 14 and started making music a year later after reaching out on Twitter to the late A$AP Yams. She became an associate A$AP Mobster and opened her solo account with the I'm Not Here. This Isn't Happening EP.
Her biggest tracks were 'Selfie' and 'Glen Coco', which featured tough as nails lyrics and no little funkiness.
Chynna had spoken in the past of having opiate dependency issues but had appeared of late to be in a good place.
More reaction as we get it.
