Tributes continue to pour in following the news.
American rapper Nipsey Hussle was fatally shot outside of his store in Los Angeles on Sunday. He was 33.
Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti confirmed the events on Twitter, writing, "Our hearts are with the loved ones of Nipsey Hussle and everyone touched by this awful tragedy. L.A. is hurt deeply each time a young life is lost to senseless gun violence."
Law enforcement told several news outlets, including the Los Angeles Times, that the rapper had been shot multiple times outside of The Marathon Clothing, Hussle's clothing company. The LAPD later shared that three people had been shot and one had died.
The rapper had received a Grammy nomination for best rap album this year. The album took a decade to complete. Hussle is survived by his two children and his girlfriend, actress Lauren London

Kendrick Lamar paid tribute to the rapper at a show in Argentina.
Rihanna and John Legend shared their condolences on Twitter. "I just spend Thursday with him filming a video for a beautiful new song we created with Khaled," wrote Legend. "He was so gifted, so proud of his home, so invested in his community."
