Rea Garvey and Picture This released a new single as Garvey prepares to release his new album Halo.
Rea Garvey and Picture This have come together to release their new single ‘Somewhere Close To Heaven’.
Garvey has already released two other singles, ‘Perfect In My Eyes’ and ‘Free Like The Ocean’. ‘Somewhere Close To Heaven’ is the newest pre-release to his upcoming album.
When talking about the track and the collaboration with Picture This, Garvey says, “I’ve watched Picture This from the wings since Day #1! After they joined me on tour in Germany, I was even more a fan than before and wanted to get us into studio and make music.”
The group wanted to focus on creating music that captured their Irish roots and the track “is a diary entry of every Irish person abroad,” Garvey says. “We love to sing, dance and celebrate life and in doing so we are home again if only in our hearts and minds.”
Picture this are a four piece rock band that consists of Ryan Hennessy, Jimmy Rainsford, Owen Cardiff and Cliff Deane. The band has gained over 450 million total streams, sold out stadiums including five nights at Dublin’s 3Arena.

Speaking about the lead singer from Picture This, Hennessy, Garvey said that he “is one of the best text writers I’ve heard in a long time with a wealth of melody which often blinds me.”
Picture This is going to be performing at Electric Picnic’s Main Stage for 70 thousand people this summer. Garvey’s highly anticipated album Halo will be released on September 13.
