Ahead of 'Drop One' of Record Store Day 2020 this Saturday, August 29, here's 10 releases from Irish artists – featuring reissues, picture discs, new releases and more.
1. David Keenan - Alchemy & Prose: Live Recordings (Rubyworks)
This 12" collection of previously unreleased recordings from David Keenan includes live in-studio performances, solo acoustic shows and recordings with a live full band from his acclaimed show at the Olympia Theatre, Dublin back in January. Out Aug 29.
2. Mellow Candle - Swaddling Songs (Deram/Decca)
This classic album was originally released in 1972 by the Irish progressive folk band Mellow Candle – formed by Dublin schoolgirls Clodagh Simonds and Alison O'Donnell. Swaddling Songs was the band's only studio album, and original copies are now considered valuable collectors' items.

The RSD exclusive vinyl edition – 180grm white coloured vinyl, remastered directly from the original tapes – comes with additional liner notes and rare photos printed on the LP inner bag. Out Aug 29.
3. Girl Band - Vicar Street Live (Rough Trade)
Following the release of their highly anticipated second album The Talkies, Girl Band played two back-to-back sold-out shows at Vicar Street, Dublin. This is the first live vinyl – featuring tracks from across their discography. Out Aug 29.
4. Christy Moore - Prosperous (Tara Music)
Christy Moore's seminal album Prosperous will be available on limited edition 180gsm blue vinyl. Originally released in 1972, the classic record featured Liam O' Flynn, Andy Irvine and Donal Lunny, who later went on to form Planxty. Nearly 40 years since Prosperous was last printed, the new edition has been remastered from the original master tapes, with a limited run of 1000 hand numbered copies. Out Aug 29.

5. U2 - 11 O'Clock Tick Tock (UMC)
U2's very first single on Island Records will be available on limited edition 12" to mark the release's 40th anniversary. Recorded with Martin Hannett in Dublin’s Windmill Lane Studios in 1980, this anniversary edition of '11 O’Clock Tick Tock' includes the full-length version of the single and the original 7” b-side 'Touch', plus two previously unreleased live recordings from the band’s show at the Marquee in London in September 1980 – 'Touch' and 'Twilight'. The 12” EP will be pressed on 180gsm transparent blue vinyl, and will include a photo gallery on the inner gatefold. Out Aug 29.
6. The Pogues - BBC Sessions 1984-85 (Rhino)
Available on black vinyl, release compiles four different sessions, from April 1984 to July 1986 – featuring two sessions for The John peel Show, one session for The Janice Long Show and one for The Auld Triangle Broadcast. Out Aug 29.

7. The Murder Capital - Love, Love, Love / On Twisted Ground – Live From London: The Dome, Tufnell Park (Human Season Records)
Following the release of their acclaimed debut album When I Have Fears last year, the band played a string of headline show around Europe and the UK. This 45rpm 12" features 'Love, Love, Love' and 'On Twisted Ground' from their show at The Dome in Tufnell Park, London in October 2019. Out Aug 29.
8. Dermot Kennedy - Without Fear (Island Records)
Dermot Kennedy's chart-topping debut album will be released as a special limited edition picture disc, limited to 1,500 copies, exclusively for Record Store Day 2020. Out Aug 29.
9. The Academic – Loose Friends EP (Capitol Records)

The Academic are set to press their 2015 debut EP, Loose Friends, on 12" vinyl for the first time. The limited run of just 500 copies includes the singles 'Different' and 'Northern Boy'. Out Aug 29.
10. Inhaler - We Have To Move On / Ice Cream Sundae; My Honest Face; It Won't Always Be Like This (Polydor)
Although we'll have to wait till the final 'Record Store Day Drop on October 24, Inhaler are set to release their first four singles on vinyl for the first time. Their current single, 'We Have To Move On' will be released as a double-A side 7" with previous single 'Ice Cream Sundae'. Their debut single, 'It Won't Always Be Like This' is getting released on 7" black and white vinyl, and 'My Honest Face' will be released on a special 10" black and white vinyl. Out Oct 24.
