The list of exclusive and special releases for Record Store Day 2024 – taking place on Saturday, April 20 – has been revealed, with an eclectic array of Irish acts included among the star-studded selection.

Now in its 17th year, the annual celebration of the unique culture of record stores continues to be marked across the world, with shops across Ireland also getting in on the action.

Each exclusive release will available on a first come first served basis from participating independent record shops. Find a list of stores taking part here.

Sinéad O'Connor - You Made Me the Thief of Your Heart (30th Anniversary)

Following the tragic death of Sinéad O'Connor last year, a special new 12" single of 'You Made Me The Thief Of Your Heart' is set to be released – marking the 30th anniversary of the track, which was originally written by by Bono, Gavin Friday and Maurice Seezer for the soundtrack of In the Name of the Father. 

According to the RSD website: "This exclusive release for Record Store Day 2024 is on clear vinyl and pulls together the versions of the track released in 1994 as well as the B-Side, 'The Father and His Wife The Spirit', performed by Sinéad and Gavin Friday."

Thin Lizzy - Live And Dangerous: At Hammersmith 16 Nov 1976

Taken from Thin Lizzy's lauded Live and Dangerous box set, this live recording of one of the stand-out shows from the collection is getting its own vinyl release for the first time, as part of Record Store Day 2024. The double LP, with a gatefold sleeve, is pressed on 180gm vinyl.

The Cranberries - Bury The Hatchet (The Complete Sessions)

In a Record Store Day exclusive, the Complete Sessions edition of The Cranberries' 1999 album, Bury The Hatchet, is getting a 2LP remastered vinyl release – featuring five bonus tracks, as well as hits like 'Promises', 'Animal Instinct', and 'Just My Imagination'.

U2 - Atomic City: Live From Sphere

Following the single's original release in September 2023, 'Atomic City' is getting a special 10" transparent red vinyl release – celebrating U2's major Las Vegas residency. The release will feature a new live recording of the track from Sphere, alongside a remix by Mike WiLL Made-It. The Record Store Day exclusive will also include a special poster.

Dolores O'Riordan - Are You Listening?

The late Limerick icon's debut solo album will be released for the first time on vinyl, exclusively for RSD 2024 – pressed as a double album on white vinyl. Originally released in 2007, it includes the singles 'Ordinary Day' and 'When We Were Young'.

FIZZ - The Secret To Life: Live At Middle Farm Studios

The supergroup – featuring Dublin singer-songwriter Orla Gartland, alongside dodie, Greta Isaac and Martin Luke Brown – released their debut album, The Secret To Life, in October 2023. Now, for Record Store Day 2024, they're releasing a special edition, recorded live at Middle Farm Studios – which was previously only available as a live video series on YouTube.
