Ten years of the musical celebration brings ten days of sales
Record Store Day is April 22 and it's one decade old!
Tower Records on Dawson & O’Connell Street will hold a vinyl sale April 21-30 starting at 9am.
New albums from Ryan Adams, Elbow, Iggy Pop and Glass Animals are available as well as the classics like Bowie, Prince, The Ramones, Amy Winehouse, Beastie Boys.
"U2’s Red Hill Mining Town 12” will no doubt be one of the most in demand records this year, alongside David Bowie’s Bowpromo 180g LP which was originally pressed in very small quantities as a promo tool for the Hunky Dory album. Also on “the list” is a repressing of several Prince singles, Deee-Lite’s Groove Is In The Heart, Elastica’s self-titled debut LP, The Cure’s Greatest Hits, The Blade Runner OST by Vangelis on 140g LP and The Smiths The Boy With The Thorn in His Side 7”. On April 22, the official day, doors at both Tower Records locations will open at 8am.
Kíla will play live at 12pm outside Tower, Dawson Street along with Interskalactic.

Teddy’s Ice Cream will serve cold treats starting at 1pm.
Anyone who buys a record on the 22nd will be entered into a raffle to receive 10 records, a RSD branded Rega turntable, or two weekend tickets to Bulmer’s Forbidden Fruit Festival.
Tower Hifi will demonstrate how to set up a turntable in case you need to brush up on your vintage game.
At 5pm, LIVE party in The Liquor Rooms will welcome HamdsandwicH back to perform in addition to Fiction Peaks with an exclusive performance, Katie Laffan, and Third Smoke.
