Bright and bouncy, the song and its video imagine the end of quarantine in Jamaica.
Reggae singer Koffee has released a music video to accompany her new single, ‘Lockdown’.
Directed by Yannick Reid, the video begins with Koffee alone in her house, rapping “where will we go / when the quarantine thing done and everybody touch road?”
Seconds later, Koffee answers her own question as the video turns into a montage of her hanging out with friends in beautiful settings throughout Jamaica.
The music video is the latest in a series of successes for the 20-year-old singer, whose real name is Mikayla Simpson.
In January, her 2019 EP Rapture won the Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album, making her both the only woman and the youngest person to receive the honor.

The video is also a prelude to Koffee’s next release: a single called ‘Pressure’, set to come out on July 30.
