The Irish acts are among the first acts announced for the 2021 festival.
Liverpool Sound City have revealed their first acts for their 2021 edition – with Irish acts Rejjie Snow and The Murder Capital set to appear, alongside the likes of The Snuts , Working Men's Club, The Mysterines, Lanterns on the Lake, TTRRUUCCES and more.
Sound City returns in 2021 from April 30 to May 2. General release weekend, day and VIP tickets go on sale this Friday, from 10am.
“It brings me great joy to announce the first names and details for Sound City 2021," says the festival's managing director Rebecca Ayres. "In an incredibly tough year for all of us in the music and events industry, it’s now more important than ever to support live music and new exciting music – something we’ve lead the way on for nearly 14 years. 2021 looks set to be our biggest Sound City to date, with incredible names like Rejjie Snow, Working Men’s Club and The Murder Capital, as well as unmissable local talent in Red Rum Club, The Mysterines, Louis Berry and Jamie Webster to name but a few, with more still to announce.”
Following the release of his Choice Music Prize-nominated album Dear Annie in 2018, Rejjie Snow made his highly anticipated return earlier this summer with 'Cookie Chips', featuring MF DOOM and Cam O'bi. He's set to headline the Saturday night of Sound City.

The Murder Capital, meanwhile, are set to play on Friday. Following the release of their acclaimed debut album, When I Have Fears, the band returned with a special Record Store Day 12" release, 'Love, Love, Love'/ 'On Twisted Ground' last month – recorded at their headline show at The Dome in Tufnell Park, London in October 2019.
