North Carolina artist Reneé Rap sings The Cranberries' hit song 'Linger' in recent performance
On March 2nd, American musician Reneé Rapp dazzled fans with her performance of 'Linger' by The Cranberries. The singer even burst out in laughter at fans' olé, olé, olé chant, sung commonly at Irish gigs.
Preformed at Roundhouse in London, England, it was part of her Snow Hard Feelings Tour in which she invited Towa Bird on stage.
With help from her opener, the two perform the classic song from 1993 - which has grown in popularity in recent years.
The artist also played Dublin's 3Olympia Theatre on March 4th, and hinted at having Irish heritage in an anecdote about a humorous exchange between her and her grandma.
She says, "My grandma text me and was like, 'We have Irish descendants and I'm like, so does every other white person!" The crowd reacted with cheers and laughter before Renée added: "Like, that doesn't make us special, but go girl, that's amazing, look at how many of us there are in this world..."
Rapp initially stepped into the spotlight after securing the part as Regina George in the Broadway production of Mean Girls. She later debuted in 2023, releasing her album Snow Angel.
