The former Verve front man will support his upcoming album with tour dates in spring next year.
Richard Ashcroft has today announced a UK & Ireland headline tour, which includes a show at Dublin's Olympia Theatre on the 29th of April next year.
The tour comes in support of his forthcoming fifth solo studio album entitled Natural Rebel on October 19th, which is to be released on his own RPA label. It aims to follow in the successes of Alone With Everybody, Human Conditions, Keys to the World and These People, all of which were top ten releases. This news comes after he sold out several intimate shows to also support the record.
Featuring ten new songs, all of which were written by Ashcroft, Natural Rebel was produced by the singer-songwriter alongside Jon Kelly (of Paul McCartney and Kate Bush fame) and Emre Ramazanoglu ( who has previously worked alongside the likes of Bobby Gillespie and Jarvis Cocker). The majority of its recording took place at State of the Ark Studios in Richmond, with further sessions at The Bunker, Tileyard Studios and Hoxa HQ.
Ashcroft has also released the acoustic track 'Hey Colombo' today, a standalone song that was written by the singer and also produced by him and Jon Kelly. You can listen to the track via the Spotify link below:
