Celebrating 20 years as a solo artist, the former Pulp guitarist will perform at the Olympia Theatre on September 30
It’s fair to say that 2019 is a landmark year for Richard Hawley. As well as celebrating 20 years as a solo artist, the songwriters is also due to release his ninth studio album Further, which is lined up to come out on May 31. Hawley will also have the pleasure of seeing a musical based on a collection of his work in his hometown of Sheffield. An exceptional year, by anyone’s standards.
Speaking on his time in the business as a solo performer, Hawley said, “I suppose twenty years is quite a long time in this business, but, to be honest, even after all this time, I’m still a searcher. I’m still genuinely searching for things, in music and in life. I can’t tell you exactly what I’m looking for, or where I’m actually going but when I get there, I’ll probably send you a text.”
