Rico Nasty Releases Collaborative Project with Producer Kenny Beats
'Anger Management' follows up 'Nasty', Rico's debut studio album and features EARTHGANG, Baauer, and SPLURGE.
American rapper Rico Nasty and producer Kenny Beats have teamed up for collaborative mixtape Anger Management. Kenny produces each of the project’s nine tracks, with rappers EARTHGANG and SPLURGE showing up for features and producer Baauer contributing to production on ‘Cheat Code’ and ‘Mood.’ The track ‘Hatin’ also features a sample of Jay-Z’s classic ‘Dirt Off My Shoulder.’
Rico’s previous project Nasty debuted to rave reviews and a huge response from fans, propelling her to a higher level of success and notoriety than ever before. She followed this up with a series of singles and collaborations including ‘Guap,’ ‘Roof,’ and ‘Sandy.’ Anger Management largely continues down the path Nasty paved, with Kenny Beats having produced much that project as well, though some songs seem closer in aesthetic to her more melodic work on tapes like Sugar Trap 2.
Rico recently performed at Coachella, and appears on upcoming albums from Injury Reserve, Duckwrth, and more. You can listen to the audio from album stand out ‘Cheat Code’ right here.
