The forthcoming album This Is Not A Safe Place will is available for pre-order now
The Oxford four-piece band Ride have revealed details for their upcoming album, to be released on Wichita Recordings on August 16. This Is Not A Safe Place will see the group rekindle their creative bond with revered DJ, producer and remixer Erol Alkan, who was on production duties for 2017’s Weather Diaries. This partnership signals a forward shift for Ride’s music, as hypnotic rhythms and washes of lush guitars fuse with leftfield electronic influences. Blending their trademark shoegaze atmosphere with a fresh and creatively ambitious sound is a recipe for a superb album.
Ahead of the album release, Ride have unveiled a new single ‘Future Love’. The song is unguarded and gloriously optimistic, bringing together some of the band’s most loved elements. Guitar chimes and drones are layered as the quartet meld melodic psychedelia with Transatlantic harmonies.
