Brooklyn band Little Sun consists of Ryan Lloyd, Eric Benoit and Dalton Patton as a dynamic yet perfectly chilled out trifecta.
Little Sun had only recently shared their debut single 'Alright' before follow-up track 'Blinkin' came along to shake things up. The exciting dream-punk band have now shared their debut full-length LP with the music world, Rainbow Body, and it's about as colourful as its title suggests.
The record itself in the making, with Ryan Lloyd penning certain tracks on the list after a bad breakup and even worse accident. While heartbroken and bedridden for six months, Lloyd curated musical magic - pretty impressive if you ask us. The rest of Rainbow Body was written in one-song spurts in his 20s as the artist navigated relationships, globetrotting and tragedy.
"It's not a concept album - it's just about different times in my life," Lloyd tells Hot Press about the relatable new project. "It's about being in your 20s and growing and changing."
The work is full of funky guitar riffs, trippy melodies and introspective questions on life and its many quirks. Stand out tracks include the fast-paced 'Self Talk', 'Settle NC', and easygoing yet reflective song 'Pops'. Any album that gets away with using the titles 'Banana Apple Fruit Juice' and 'Banana Gospel Outro' is worth a listen, by any stretch of the imagination.

The outfit are also putting a lot of heart into the zines and cassettes of the album, which are due to land in late February. Keep your eyes peeled on their Bandcamp for updates.
